Weather Forecast: Mountain Snow Showers Today, Warmer Weather On The Way

Mountain snow showers will stick around through tonight and tomorrow morning. High pressure will slowly move in the next 3 days warming the valley to the mid to upper 60s by Wednesday.
Ridge of high pressure amplifies the next few days, warmer with each new afternoon. Tomorrow northern valley locations will reach the low 60s. By Wednesday and Thursday the northern valley will once again be flirting with the upper 60s. Ridge may be just a little to far west for 70s to be reached.
A trough will try to descend from the Gulf of Alaska by this weekend. Forecast models continue to have problems with resolving where this trough goes. Some models want to cut it off before it reaches the Northstate and pull south into Southern California. So we'll have to keep a close eye on it until then.
