We’ve got a weak storm heading our way and it will give us some much needed rain and snow early this week. The high clouds have moved in advance of the storm and will begin to thicken up the next 12 to 18 hours. The rain isn’t expected to arrive until Tuesday evening for most of us with the heaviest rain falling Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Off and on showers are expected to continue through the day on Wednesday. Snow levels are expected to be above 5000 feet. Once all is said and done the valley will pick up between a quarter to a half of an inch of rain while the foothills and mountains could see up to three quarters of an inch.
It will dry out behind the storm and the winds are also expected to pick up from the north making for windy conditions on Thursday and Friday. The winds are expected to die down by the weekend and our next chance for rain won’t arrive until the end of the month. So for now we can say we will go out of March like a lion.
