So far the storm has turned out to be a dud for most of us in the valley but we were still able to pick up some isolated moderate to heavy rain showers.  The potential for thunderstorms was there but there just wasn’t enough clearing to allow the sun to heat the surface.  The mountains were also able to pick up some snow so all in all this turned out to be a decent rain and snow event giving us some much needed water, although we could use a lot more.

There will be a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms in the valley again on Thursday buit it looks like most of the energy associated with this storm will swing to our south.  There probably won’t be as much snow in the mountains either with snow levels still around 2500 feet.

By Friday we will be on the back side of the storm allowing us to dry out  and warm things up by the weekend with highs back in the upper 60’s and low 70’s.  The beginning of next week also looks dry and warm.
