MAP OF ALL WATCHES AND WARNINGS

Although we still have some fairly cold air trapped in the valley the temperatures have warmed up by a few degrees turning the snow to rain in Redding and the surrounding areas.  However, snow levels are still expected to be very low today and could be as low as 1000 feet but should be mainly above 1500 feet.

There are still plenty of Winter weather watches and warnings in the higher elevations including a high wind warning for the Shasta valley in central Siskiyou County along I-5.  Winds are expected to pick up from the south in this area at 35 to 45 mph with gusts possibly over 55 mph.

We've got another chance for rain on Monday and Tuesday with snow levels between 2500 and 3500 feet.

Wednesday we will stay mostly dry as we sit in between storm system.

As of right not it appears that the next strong storm will move in Thursday with fairly high snow levels to start off with before dropping into the day Friday.  This storm may also have some stronger winds attached too.  As usual we will continue to monitor these set of storms to come through in the next 5-7 days.
