A tornado was spotted in Tehama County near the Gerber area prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Tornado Warning for the Vina area which was allowed to expire at 2:45 PM.
Isolated thunderstorms are expected to continue through the afternoon and into the evening hours for the valley and foothills. Areas that get caught under a thunderstorm will experience periods of heavy rain, hail, lightning and thunder. It's also not out of the question for an isolated tornado as well.
