Corning and Red Bluff both managed to hit the 100 degree mark this afternoon. By Sunday and Monday most, if not all of the valley will be at or above 100 degrees!

A very strong late season ridge of high pressure will move over the Northstate by Sunday and Monday.  With this ridge in place, we will likely see afternoon highs 15-19 degrees above normal for this time of the year.

The ridge will slowly erode as we head into your Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  The forecast challenge will be our next low pressure system, which should arrive around Friday.

Once the low makes it to the Northstate, we will quickly see temps fall back in line with seasonal normals.
