There are still Winter Storm Watches and Warnings at least through Monday morning before the chances for showers diminish by the afternoon.  As a storm passes to our north it will help generate gusty south winds with gusts between 35 and 45 mph which is why the Northern Sacramento Valley is under a Wind Advisory until 4AM.  Once the storm passes Monday morning the winds will die down.  Although we will probably see some breaks in the clouds on Monday it will still be cool with highs in the upper 40’s and low 50’s.

Tuesday looks to be a dry day with highs in the mid to upper 40’s under partly cloudy skies.  Another weak disturbance will move through on Wednesday giving us yet another chance for isolated showers in the valley and snow flurries in the mountains with snow levels around 2000 feet.

The long range forecast models have been fairly consistent the last few days with giving us some fairly heavy rain along with gusty winds on Thursday and Friday.  The winds should die down on Saturday and Sunday but the wet weather will continue.  It’s also a cold series of storms with snow levels expected to be between 1000 and 2000 feet through next weekend.
