After valley highs in the mid to upper 60s the last couple of days, look for afternoon valley temperatures to top out near 70 today and even warmer by Thursday and Friday.
High pressure is starting to dominate our weather pattern meaning we will continue to see above average temperatures with mostly sunny skies. The ridge of high pressure will actually build this week and our temperatures will increase as a result climbing to the upper 60’s and even low 70’s for some of the warmest spots.
The same ridge is expected to start to break down starting this weekend but will remain dry with highs in the mid to upper 60’s. The long range forecast models are starting to align on the chance for rain by Tuesday of next week. It doesn’t look all that impressive but at this point we’ll take what we can get. It also looks like a fairly cold storm with snow levels around 2500 feet. We’ll keep a close eye on this and keep you informed as we get closer to next week.
