A weak ridge of high pressure will build over the Northstate on Wednesday allowing the skies to clear out a bit along with warmer temperatures. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be in the upper 60’s and possibly lower 70’s in some of the warmest spots.
The forecast models all agree that by Friday a wet weather pattern will set up and is expected to last at least through Monday. The timing of these storms is still a little tricky but there will be periods of wide spread moderate to heavy rain. Snow levels will be fairly high and are not expected to drop below 5000 feet.
After Monday one of the forecast models (GFS) wants to keep the rain coming through all of next week, however, another respected and reliable model (European) pushes the rain to our north by next Tuesday. Stay tuned…
