The Northstate will continue battle the northerly winds with the very cold overnights. However, as we move through the next 48 hours the winds will relax and afternoon highs will warm to well above normal.
We have one more cold day today, but by Tuesday we’ll start to warm back up as the high centered over the eastern Pacific starts to build eastward. The warmest core of the entire system will be within 100 miles of the northern Sacramento Valley. That means we’ll see temps in the mid to upper 60s midweek before they moderate to the low to mid 60s under bright sunshine. Not bad for mid January.
