Weather Forecast: Warming Trend Continues Today

Current temperatures on track for afternoon highs to reach the mid to upper 60s for the valley today. Besides the sunny skies we will be on the lookout for overnight fog.
After highs of 62 in Redding, 63 in Chico and 64 in Red Bluff yesterday, we should easily hit the mid to upper 60s today.
The ridge of high pressure continues to amplify and move closer to the Northstate from the west. Look for another warm if not warmer day for the Northstate tomorrow.
With the stagnant air mass in place and a more southerly flow in place by Friday and Saturday overnight and morning fog will be a concern.
Based on forecast model runs the last few days, it appears our next chance of valley rain and mountain snow will be by next Wednesday and Thursday.
