The northerly winds will stick around again today but lighter than the last few days. Expect highs in the low to mid 60s under mostly sunny skies today for the valley floor.
The ridge of high pressure, currently centered off the the west in the eastern Pacific, will continue to slide closer and closer to the Northstate the next few days.
By Wednesday and Thursday widespread afternoon highs in the low 70s will be found in the northern valley (Corning and north).
The next "opportunity" for rain, at the earliest will come Saturday night. Even this system is looking weak and unimpressive.
