Weather Forecast: Warming Trend Through Friday
Redding, Chico, Red Bluff
Tuesday turned out to be a warmer day as expected with temperatures in the mid 60’s approaching the upper 60’s in some of the warmer areas. This warming trend will continue through at least the end of the work week and we could see some 70 degree readings as early as Wednesday.
Friday will be the peak of this warming trend with highs in the mid to upper 70’s under mostly sunny skies. Some clouds will roll in on Saturday as a storm passes to our north giving us just a slight chance for a few isolated sprinkles/light showers Saturday night into Sunday. It will still be warm with highs in the upper 60’s Saturday and Sunday.
The long range forecast models are having a difficult time agreeing on next week’s forecast. For now it looks like Monday will be dry but according to one forecast model (European) we’ll see some rain enter the picture on Tuesday and Wednesday. However a different forecast model (GFS) gives us a slight chance for light showers on Wednesday.
Bottom line, we need the rain so we are hoping to get in on some decent rain next week but we’ll keep you posted.
