Weather Forecast: Weaker Winds And Warmer Friday
Redding, Chico, Red Bluff
It turned out to be a breezy/windy day as expected with gusts from the north just over 30 mph in many spots. Despite the wind it was also a warm day with highs in the 70’s pretty much anywhere you go in the valley. The winds will die down on Friday with continued sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 70’s to wrap up the work week.
The same ridge is expected to break down starting this weekend but will remain dry with highs in the mid to upper 60’s. The long range forecast models are starting to align on the chance for rain by Tuesday of next week. It doesn’t look all that impressive but at this point we’ll take what we can get. It also looks like a fairly cold storm with snow levels around 2000 feet. We’ll keep a close eye on this and keep you informed as we get closer to next week.
