We will continue to see scattered showers today for the mountains and even the valley.  The main concern for today will be the high winds in the mountains to the north.

Our next storm system will stay west today and continued showers will slide through the Northstate.

A strong pressure gradient along with upper level support will bring very strong and possible damaging winds to parts of Siskiyou county today.

These winds will be out of the south and be at their strongest through the afternoon and evening hours tonight.

For the valley we will see gusty south winds but the strongest winds will likely move in tomorrow ahead of the main cold front.

Speaking of that cold front, it will be our next strong weather event for the valley floor.  It shows signs to be similar to what we saw Saturday evening.

So with that said we need to be on the lookout for heavy rain, strong south winds, and embedded thunderstorms.

Wednesday-Friday things drastically begin to clear out and warm up.

By Friday valley highs will be near 70 degrees.
