High pressure will continue to funnel into the Northstate today, tightening the surface pressure gradient.  This will allow for another day of gusty north winds and sunny skies.

The winds may be a little stronger today before they die down just in time for the weekend.  We will also see our temperatures slowly increase the next few days with highs in the mid 70’s by the weekend under mostly sunny skies.

The peak of the warming trend looks to be on Sunday before we see a gradual decrease in our temperatures through next week.  We’ll start next week off in the low 70’s dropping to the mid to upper 60’s by the end of the week.  The reason for these cooler temperatures is because a trough of low pressure will start to move over us.  Initially the forecast models were bringing the rain in as early as Tuesday of next week but now it looks like it has been pushed back to the end of the week and the potential rain totals don’t look impressive at all.
