Weather Forecast: Winter Storm Warning For Redding, Red Bluff & Corning

The Sacramento NWS office has issued a Winter Storm Warning for valley locations in Tehama and Shasta county until 9:00 Saturday morning.
Accumulations as high as 3" possible for valley.
In the last 24 hours mountain locations, including the Burney Basin have received several ft of snow, with more to come over the next 3 days.
Storm system number 1 continues to work through the Northstate with another impulse of energy moving into Trinity county.
Strong south winds are forecast to pick up throughout the day for the valley and the mountains ahead of the next cold front. Forecast is still on track for the heaviest rain to move through in the overnight hours tonight.
Between each system we will continue to see periods of heavy snowfall in the mountains and light to moderate and patches of heavy rain in the valley.
The last system will finally move in by Sunday morning, wrapping up by Sunday evening.
Christmas Eve and most of Christmas day will remain dry, before our next storm rolls in Christmas evening.
