Winds stayed gusty overnight, and temperatures will continue to rise this week.
Winds remained in the 10-20mph range all night which kept the temperatures up. That means we’ll be well on our way to the low 80s for highs in the valley today. Ample sunshine and strong northerly winds will combine to really dry things out so expect relative humidity values to remain in the 20% range or even lower in some areas. The rest of the week is dominated by a massive area of high pressure which will continue to push temperatures higher and higher throughout the week. Highs during the middle of the week – Wednesday and Thursday – will be pushing 100° for the first time this year. Some areas could even see records broken, but most will at best come close to tying them. Record high temperatures are hovering in the 100-105° range for most of this week and I don’t expect highs to eclipse 100° by that much if at all.
