Another gorgeous day comes Sunday.
Temperatures will respond very well to the clear skies and generally light winds. Temps will peak in the low 80s for most of the valley with only a few spots topping out around 79°. The high pressure area will remain through the next few days as high pressure moves from west to east. Temperatures will remain in the low 80s while the high is in control.
Eventually the ridge moves eastward and opens up the door for some clouds to roll in. Those clouds will be high level and won’t create any precipitation except at the highest elevations over the Sierra crest. Despite those high level clouds we won’t see drastically cooler temperatures. Highs will remain in the mid to upper 70s through Friday while the clouds work out their departure from northern California. Expect them to finally leave by next weekend.
