Temperatures stay warm for Memorial Day with cooler weather coming this week.
Temperatures fall into Tuesday and Wednesday as an upper level trough moves off the Pacific Ocean. Highs will still be warm, but won’t break out of the mid 80s instead of the mid 90s like we’ve been seeing the past several days. The more comfortable weather will be joined by gusty winds which will stick around throughout the week. Expect the strongest winds Wednesday into Thursday as the low departs to our east.
The rest of the week is dominated by the upper level trough but highs will start to climb back into the upper 80s to near 90° by the weekend. As the trough axis rolls overhead Friday into Saturday there is the chance for some mountain thunderstorms on Friday and on Saturday there’s a shot for some to meander into the valley as well. We’ll be sure to keep a close eye on anything as it develops.
