A tornado warning remains in effect until 6:30 p.m. PDT for south central Tehama and extreme north central Glenn Counties.
At 5:36 p.m. PDT doppler radar indicated a possible tornado about six miles southwest of Corning and east of Black Butte Dam moving east to southeast at 15 mph.
Trained weather spotters reported a funnel cloud with this storm about 5:24 p.m.
The tornado warning expired at 6:30 p.m.
The tornado will otherwise remain over mainly rural areas of the indicated counties but may cross Interstate 5 south of Corning through 6:30 p.m.
The safest place to be during a tornado is under a sturdy
If in a vehicle evacuate and get inside a substantial
shelter. If no shelter is available lie flat in the nearest ditch
or other low spot and cover your head with your hands.
