Last week we talked about an atmospheric river (pineapple express) transporting in a lot of moisture giving us some much needed rain through the weekend.  This week we will also be talking about an atmospheric river once again but unfortunately it’s going to be pointed over the Pacific Northwest with the Northstate on the southern fringe of the rain.

So what does this mean for us this week?  We will see a chance for off and on showers starting Wednesday and lasting at least through the weekend if not longer.  The amount of rain we get is still in question but at this point it won’t be nearly as much as what we saw with the last storm.  Snow levels are also expected to remain fairly high and should mainly be above 7000 feet.

The good news is the long range forecast models are keeping us under a wet weather pattern through the end of the month.
