The valley floor will once again warm up to the low to mid 80s this afternoon. Both today and tomorrow the mountains will have a chance for a few pop up showers and thunderstorms.
A cut-off low to our south will bring just enough instability aloft, along with daytime heating, we may see a few isolated mountain showers and thunderstorms develop today and tomorrow.
The low will move east of the crest by Saturday night, allowing for the ridge to re-amplify on Sunday. With a stronger ridge in place Sunday, highs will l warm to the mid 80s for most of the valley floor.
Models were once showing another cut-off low with some moisture attached, moving in Monday night and into Tuesday. However, in the last 12-18 hours almost every medium range forecast model has backed off and is sending the low well to our north, keeping the Northstate dry. We'll continue to monitor this low the next 3 days, as things can always change.
