The Northstate can expect clearing today behind last night's cold front. You can also expect gusty north winds at times, especially on the western side of the valley.
A weak disturbance may bring a few more clouds into the Northstate Thursday but no precipitation is expected. At the same time a ridge of high pressure will continue to amplify just to our west, bringing warmer weather to the Northstate.
This ridge will likely stick around through this weekend with highs near 70 for most of the valley floor.
Forecast models continue to show this ridge shifting north and being undercut by a trough to our northwest by next Wednesday. This pattern would likely bring in another round of widespread precipitation to the Northstate. We'll continue to monitor next week's rain chances as we get closer.
