Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue through the evening before things start to quiet down significantly overnight. The area of low pressure responsible for this activity will be to our southeast on Tuesday but we’re still expecting a chance for more showers and thunderstorms once again through the afternoon but should be less widespread and weaker. There may still be some activity in the Northern Sierra on Wednesday but the rest of us will be dry with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
The rest of the week also looks dry with highs expected to be in the low 90s through the holiday weekend. At this point the long range forecast models aren’t picking up on much in the way of rain but we’re also not expecting any major heat waves either.
