We have finally broken the streak of triple digit heat since last week and now we are dealing with temperatures at least 10 degrees cooler.  By Thursday and Friday the cooling trend will continue with highs only reaching the mid to upper 80s in the valley.

Even though it will be cooler we will still be dealing with gusty winds for some of the higher elevations keeping the fire danger high.  This is why the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning starting Thursday for some of the mountain locations.  Click here for more details.

High pressure will return this weekend and into next week allowing our temperatures to slowly increase.  Expect highs in the valley to be in the low 90s this weekend and possibly climbing back up to the triple digits by the middle of next week.
