We’re starting to see some changes in our weather pattern with cooler temperatures this week and even a slight chance for showers and mountain snow.  Our highs will actually drop below average by the middle of the week with temperatures struggling to get out of the 40’s by Thursday and Friday.  A week disturbance will move through Wednesday night and early Thursday morning giving the valley a slight chance for an isolated shower or two.  Snow levels could drop to as low as 2500 feet but the activity will also be isolated in the mountains.

The long range forecast models are having a difficult time agreeing with the timing and intensity of this weekend’s storm.  For now we’ll call for a chance of rain Saturday, Sunday and even into Monday.  Since the source of moisture is coming from the sub-tropics snow levels will have a difficult time dropping below 6000 feet.
