The ridge of high pressure responsible for the unseasonably hot temperatures is being pushed to the east as a storm approaches the Pacific Northwest.

The temperatures will continue to drop through the weekend struggling to get out of the 70s on Saturday and only reaching the low 70s on Sunday.  The cooling trend will continue into Monday with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.  After Monday we will see yet another warming trend but won’t get much warmer than the mid 80s by Friday.

The forecast models have been hinting at a slight chance for showers Sunday and Monday the last few days.  At this point I’m not counting on much if anything at all but don’t be surprised if you feel a few drops on Sunday or Monday.  Most of the rain will be along the coast, Trinity and Siskiyou Counties but will most likely only pick a few hundredths of an inch.
