Valley afternoon highs will once again warm to the mid to upper 90s today.  You can expect a cooling trend starting Friday through early next week.

The ridge of high pressure that has brought afternoon highs 15-20 degrees above normal, will begin to break down Friday.   This will drop our highs to the low to mid 80s by the weekend.

A trough of low pressure will begin to swing in from out of the north Sunday into Monday afternoon.  The cold air aloft associated with this trough will allow for just enough instability for a some shower and thunderstorms to develop Monday afternoon.

This trough will begin to slide south and east by Tuesday, eliminating the threat of showers and thunderstorms.

A ridge of high pressure may wrap around this low , allowing for warmer temperatures and possibly breezy north winds Tuesday and Wednesday.
