Our last shot at some rain decided to track to our south with the bulk of the rain in the Sacramento region with a few thunderstorms as well. There will still be a chance for a few isolated showers through early Friday morning but it’s not expected to amount to much.  That being said, the National Weather is playing it safe by issuing a Winter Weather Advisory until 10am Friday for the mountains east of the valley above 5000 feet.  If you will be traveling in that area Thursday night or Friday morning it might be a good idea to check the road conditions before leaving.  Click here for the latest on the advisory.

The dry weather pattern will return on Friday and will stick around through most of next week.  We will also see a gradual increase in our temperatures climbing back up to the mid to upper 60’s by the middle of next week.

The long range forecast models have been fairly consistent the last few days with a wet weather pattern setting up in about a week and a half to two weeks.  There are no guarantees at this point but at least there is hope for more substantial rain in the future.
