Redding broke their record high of 71 set in 1999 with a temperature of 73 degrees Wednesday afternoon making for another pleasant day.  It wasn’t as warm for the rest of the valley with temperatures in the low to mid 60’s which is still about 5 to10 degrees above average.

High pressure will remain the dominant feature through the weekend with highs expected to be in the mid to upper 60’s with a few passing clouds from time to time.

High pressure will start to break down next week dropping our temperatures to the upper 50’s and low 60’s on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  We are also expecting a couple of weak storms to clip Northern California next week starting Tuesday but the main impacts will be cooler temperatures, added clouds and a chance for a few isolated showers in the mountains.
