Drier air moving in will lower our chances for mountain thunderstorms today.  For parts of the valley floor, highs will stay above 100 degrees into next week.

Mid level moisture is quickly moving east and north of the Northstate along with our thunderstorm chances.  Best chances for thunderstorms today will stay confined to the crest or to the east into Nevada.

With drier air comes lower relative humidity values this afternoon along with breezy conditions in areas currently seeing fire activity.

Our next monsoon plume returns Monday into Tuesday, bringing the chances of mountain thunderstorms back.
