Afternoon highs will once again find the low 70s for most of the valley floor today. Gusty north winds return late Wednesday.
The ridge of high pressure will flatten a little on Tuesday and Wednesday as a weak system passes to our north in Oregon.
On the backside of Wednesday's low, high pressure will build to our north. This will once again set up a tight surface gradient which will bring north winds to valley floor. Winds may be high enough for some Red Flag Warnings for the Sierra to our southeast.
For at least the next 7 days, we will stay dry. A slight chance of a "wet" cold front breaking through the ridge in about 8-9 days, though nothing is promised.
