Today will likely be the 9th day in a row Redding has seen afternoon highs at or above 70 degrees.  This is remarkable for January, considering our normal high for this stretch is 55 degrees.  As mentioned on air we have gone 42 straight days since we've last seen an afternoon high at or below normal!

This stretch will continue through the rest of the week with highs 15-20 degrees above normal for the valley floor.

We're still watching the winds the next few days.  North winds will pick back up starting tomorrow, sticking around as long as Saturday.  Winds will be gusty at times but models have trending a hair lighter/weaker in the last 24 hours.

As expected next week's front is trending weaker and drier.  Over the last couple of months the Euro forecast model has tried to break down the ridge quicker than other forecast models.
