As Monsoon moisture works its way up the spine of the Sierra we will notice an increase in clouds and thunderstorms making their way back to the mountains. As a result the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Siskiyou and Modoc Counties through the day on Tuesday due to the threat of dry lightning. There is even a slight chance for a stray sprinkle of light shower in parts of the valley but don't count on much if anything at all.
Even though the bulk of the monsoon moisture will be gone by Wednesday the chance for mountain showers and thunderstorms will continue through most of the week. Highs in the valley will generally be between 100 and 105 in Redding and Red Bluff while Chico and Oroville will be right around 100 through the weekend and into early next week.
