It was another sunny and hot day on Thursday with slightly warmer temperatures than Wednesday.  A trough of low pressure over the Gulf of Alaska will push through the Pacific Northwest the next few days helping to drop our temperatures by a few degrees. The same trough of low pressure is also expected to tap into moisture left over from what once was Hurricane Marie but all it will bring is some high and mid level clouds.

The sunny skies will return on Saturday and Sunday with highs in the mid 90s in Redding and Red Bluff and low 90s in Chico.  We'll see another bump in our temperatures on Monday and Tuesday of next week with highs getting close to 100 degrees once again before we see a drop to the low to mid 90s by the middle and latter part of next week.
