A large low pressure system to our southwest continues to pump rain and mountain snow into the Northstate.

The main cold front swung through California this morning and moisture on the backside of the front ahead of the low continues to move pockets of light to moderate rain north through the Northstate.

There will be a small window as the cold pool moves into central California for thunderstorms.  Right now it appears the biggest threat will stay further south, closer to Sacramento.

Waves of rain will continue to move in and out of the Northstate through the early morning hours Saturday.

Lingering showers will stick around through this weekend.  Another cold front will move in by the middle of next workweek so the wet pattern sticks around through at least the next 7 days.
