Behind last night's heavy rain a cooler, unstable air-mass is moving into the Northstate. Thunderstorms are possible through the early afternoon hours.
South winds helped to enhance heavier rainfall in the northern tip of the valley and into the foothills in the late morning hours today. We'll continue to see scattered showers today with a slight chance of a thunderstorms.
The next wave of rain arrives late tonight and into the overnight hours. We'll like since moderate to even heavy rainfall work north up through the Northstate similar to Wednesday evening but likely not as strong with lower totals.
There may be just enough instability for another chance of thunderstorms Friday morning/afternoon but chances look fairly low.
Lingering showers will come to an end by Saturday. Another unsettled pattern sets up by next work week.
