The Northstate can expect slightly warmer conditions this afternoon, compared to yesterday.  Daytime heating may lead to some mountain thunderstorms, though most activity will stay confined to the crest of the Sierra.

The next storm will move through the Pacific Northwest Sunday and Monday and the main impacts will be a few more clouds and cooler temperatures.  Low to mid 90s is expected Sunday through Tuesday before temperatures warm back up to the upper 90s to just over 100 degrees Wednesday and Thursday.
