Redding was one of the few spots that reached 100 degrees Tuesday afternoon.  Expect a few more valley locations to reach the triple digits, as highs will be 1 to 2 degrees warmer today.

A trough of low pressure diving in from out of the northwest on Friday will help to pick up some clouds from the remnants of Hurricane Marie.  We're not expecting any precipitation from Marie but the clouds and the trough will help to cool the Northstate off Friday and Saturday.  A weak ridge will begin to build back in by Labor Day which will bring afternoon highs back up to or above normal for early September.
