A vary large and anomalous strong ridge of high pressure will build in through Wednesday. Afternoon highs for the western and northern tip of the valley floor will run 20-25 degrees above normal.
The Record highs for Redding (including the airport and old city site) are 76 degrees on Tuesday and 78 degrees on Wednesday.
The ridge will begin to flatten Friday, allowing for a weakening cold front to slide in. Unfortunately, every forecast model has any rain, quickly falling apart before even reaching the Northcoast.
