The temperatures once again climbed over 100 degrees in the valley on Thursday making for another hot day in the Northstate. There weren't as many thunderstorms in the mountains with most of the activity being confined to Plumas, Lassen and Modoc Counties.
The valley will continue to see the summer heat with just a slight drop as we go into the weekend and next week. Chico will average around 100 degrees the next 7 days while Redding and Red Bluff should be between 101 and 106 degrees.
There will still be a chance for mountain thunderstorms on Friday but it looks like the chances are getting smaller as we go into the weekend.
