The summer heat has arrived and isn't expected to go anywhere anytime soon.  Highs on average will be in the mid 90s give or take through at least the middle of next week.

It gets a little tricky after next Wednesday as the American forecast model (GFS) wants to give us a chance for rain by Thursday of next week.  The European model (ECMWF), however, keeps the rain to our north.  For now we'll go with cooler temperatures next Thursday under partly cloudy skies.

Near the end of next week the long range forecast models are hinting at our next heat wave with highs back in the triple digits.  No guarantees at this point but worth watching closely.
