The stream of moisture finally shifted to the south Wednesday evening giving most of us a shot of at least some light shower activity.  The atmospheric river (pineapple express) will be aimed at the Northstate Thursday morning but is expected to shift back to the north slowly throughout the day.  Anyway you look at it there is a chance for off and on showers on Thursday for everyone.  Snow levels will continue to be above 7000 feet.

On Friday most of the rain will once again be to our north but could reach as far south as Redding.  South of Redding will most likely be dry under mostly cloudy skies.

The rain will eventually shift to the south and move through the Northstate on Saturday with yet another shot at some decent rain.  As the cooler air begins to move in our snow levels will drop back down to around 5000 feet.

It looks like we’ll dry things out on Sunday and Monday before the next storm arrives Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.  There will also be some colder air associated with the storm dropping our snow levels somewhere between 3000 and 4000 feet.
