Highs in the valley made it to the mid to upper 90s on Wednesday with a few record breaking temperatures.  It will be hot once again on Thursday as well before the ridge of high pressure starts to break down.  This will drop our highs to the low to mid 80s by the weekend.

A weak storm will move through the Northstate on Monday not only giving us more clouds but cooler temperatures.  Some of the forecast models are hinting at just enough instability for a few isolated showers and thunderstorms in both the mountains and valley.  Since the Northstate is under an extreme drought dry lightning may be a concern.

The chances for showers and thunderstorms will diminish on Tuesday of next week with warmer temperatures.
