The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Siskiyou and Modoc Counties until 11pm Wednesday. With expected thunderstorm activity in the mountains there is a good chance fires will be sparked by lightning. Click here for more details on the Red Flag Warning.
It will continue to be hot and dry in the valley with highs over 100 degrees the next 7 days in Redding while Chico will be closer to the upper 90s under sunny skies. At this point we don't see much relief from the heat through next week.
