Most of the rain will once again stay in the mountains today. After scattered showers today, heavier rain will move through the Northstate Saturday.
Most of the valley floor will warm to near or above 60 today, with a slight chance of showers down to the northern tip of the valley.
South winds will also begin to pick up throughout the day and into Saturday. By Saturday afternoon we'll likely see winds gusting over 35 mph in the valley.
The south winds will pickup ahead of the cold front. This same cold front will bring more widespread rain to the entire Northstate. We'll likely have pockets of heavy rain so ponding and minor flooding are possible.
Rain should come to an end by early to mid morning hours on Sunday.
