The backside of the storm system will continue to push into the Northstate through this afternoon. The threat of heavy downpours and embedded thunderstorms possible through this afternoon.
As the storm system begins to exits by the mid afternoon, the threat of showers and thunderstorms will move to just the foothills and mountains as the valley begins to clear out.
Could see some widespread sunshine for the valley floor for afternoon/evening commute.
High pressure building will shift the winds from out of the south to out of the north. This should help to stabilize the atmosphere by this evening. Valley highs will warm to near 70 for both Friday and Saturday.
The long range forecast models are hinting at more rain by Sunday and Monday but at this point doesn’t look all that impressive.
