The Delta Breeze kicked in on Tuesday helping to give us a little relief from the heat despite the fact we were under sunny skies.  There were also the expected afternoon mountain showers and thunderstorms, although they weren't as strong or wide spread as they were on Monday.  The chances for mountain thunderstorms will diminish on Wednesday as the area of low pressure partly responsible for this activity is moving to the south and getting weaker.

The Delta Breeze is expected to continue to have an impact on our daytime highs at least through Friday with highs in the mid to upper 80s in Chico and low to mid 90s in Redding and Red Bluff.

High pressure will build back over the Northstate by next week allowing our temperatures to get closer to normal for this time of year.
