Another warm and dry day for the Northstate.  Valley highs will once again warm to near 80 degrees today.  Gusty north winds return to the Northstate Wednesday.

Similar to what we saw this past weekend, a weak frontal system will clip the Northstate tonight, helping to tighten up the northerly pressure gradient Wednesday.

Hi-res short term models place sustained winds in the western side of the valley floor around 20 mph Wednesday.  Northerly gusts would likely top 30 mph in Glenn, Tehama and Shasta county.

Another weak system will clip the Northstate Thursday night into Friday.  Maybe deep enough and enough moisture for widely scattered to isolated mountain showers.

Highs will remain near 80 degrees for the rest of the week for the valley.

Models continue to hint at a pattern change by the early to middle portions of next work week.  Since these troughs are model to drop almost due south, it won't be extremely wet but with a very cold pool aloft, thunderstorms would be the main concern.
